A unique collaboration that sees the iconic photographs of Terry O’Neill inspiring bespoke art pieces by luxury furniture designers Jimmie Martin.

The idea of turning my images into bespoke couture furniture hand-crafted by Jimmie Martin as one-off pieces of art is an unmissable opportunity and I can’t wait to see what they produce.” Terry O’Neill Legendary British photographer Terry O’Neill and award-winning luxury furniture brand Jimmie Martin create ten unique Haute Couture furniture pieces.
Jimmie Martin is using Terry O’Neill’s most celebrated and some never-before-seen images to inspire statement baroque, yet postmodernist pieces. The famous faces that adorn the sofas, beds, chairs and armoires include Audrey Hepburn, David Bowie, Brigitte Bardot, Raquel Welch, Mick Jagger, Al Pacino and Mia Farrow. The ten functional works of art will be exhibited at London’s Rook & Raven Gallery in March 2012.
Jimmie Martin has handpicked exclusively sourced vintage furniture and is applying the chosen Terry O’Neill image, finishing each piece with hand painted artwork. Selected pieces will incorporate 22-carat gold leaf finish. Each piece is signed by Terry O’Neill and Jimmie Martin and considered a piece of modern art and a rare collectable.

The buyers will both own a piece of pop culture history and a piece of art.

Collaboration of exclusive images of Andy Warhol in drag by personal photographer to Andy Warhol, photographer Christopher Makos combined with photos of flowers by photographer Paul Solberg. Together they are known as the ‘Hilton Brothers’. To this Jimmie Martin has added their artwork and created a series named ‘ANDY DANDY’ consisting of 5 one-offs exclusive chairs.
WHEN VAGABOND MET JIMMIE MARTIN…
Working together with new, upcoming and interesting designers is something that Swedish shoe brand Vagabond is well known for. Their forthcoming collaboration involves the much noted interior design duo Jimmie Martin. Jimmie and Martin’s unique style is characterised by a young, contemporary and urban take on classics; a perfect pairing considering Vagabonds similar design aesthetic. The design pair are based in east London, where most of Vagabonds autumn 08 collection was shot.
This winning collaboration has supported and strengthened the autumn campaign, in which urban romance and graffiti played a key element. As Swedes themselves Jimmie and Martin were delighted to have been asked to team up with Vagabond on this venture. Having been approached by Iroquois and Vagabond we felt there was an instant connection between some of our designs and the look and feel that Vagabond was searching for when looking for a collaboration partner. We hope this is the beginning of a good and successful collaboration venture together with Vagabond. Not to mention that you can never have enough shoes right. This collaboration launches with six bespoke Jimmie Martin chairs and limited edition of canvas bags from their Imperfection series.
The bags will be distributed in store when a pair of Vagabond’s are purchased, and the chairs will be found in selected Vagabond stores around Europe from the end of October.

April 2009 sees the launch of Jimmie Martin flooring together with BOLON of Sweden. The mats can be used for both indoor and outdoors as well as wall coverings.
